Meet with Gfresh at Seafood Expo North America

Could there be a better place than Boston, Massachusetts for the Seafood Expo North America? 

And there’s more than just New England clam chowder to try in the City on a Hill. There’s red clam chowder, Boston clam chowder, and probably many other incredible clam chowders.

All joking aside, the 37th Seafood Expo North America / Seafood Processing North America is taking place March 19-21 in historic Boston, and the Gfresh team couldn’t be more excited to attend. 

Growing every year

The industry is growing in ways previously thought unimaginable, and events like this are increasingly important year upon year. We are thrilled to be at the forefront of the industry with a platform that has created the world’s largest online seafood marketplace. 

And we’re also excited to see what other innovative technologies and pioneering new products are gaining a foothold in today’s market.

A lot to learn

We decided not to set up a booth this year, but we will be taking in plenty of the 25 educational sessions presented by top industry experts and key players. Since there are more than 1,300 companies exhibiting from over 50 countries, three days will be hardly enough time to take it in.

It’s not just the potential new business relationships and opportunities we’re looking forward to. 

Fun stuff

The 11th annual oyster shucking competition is a blast and we can’t wait to see some culinary demonstrations from a few of the world’s best seafood chefs. We are also looking forward to seeing who takes home awards during the Seafood Excellence Awards competition.

Tackling the issues

In addition to industry booths, networking and product presentations, the Boston seafood expo aims to address some of the most pressing issues that face the industry today. Some sessions we’re eager to attend tackle topics like transparency, traceability, sustainability, shifting political climates, developments in trade, and trends in consumerism. 

Gfresh’s co-founder, Anthony Wan, will also be speaking in a panel called “The Online Dragon: Seafood e-commerce in China.” It’s sure to be an excellent and enlightening three days.

All types to attend

There is so much to learn and gain from the networking and opportunities that await at this event. Everyone with a vested interest will be there, including representatives from airlines, cruise lines, fast food, military and government, hotel chains, hospitals, manufacturers, supermarkets and wholesaler. And, of course, seafood importers and exporters.

Rubbing elbows

The fact that this event will be the largest in its 37-year history goes to show just how burgeoning and quickly changing this industry is. And opportunities to meet vendors and key players face-to-face is an invaluable chance to find ways to work together to make the industry profitable, efficient, safe and sustainable.
